Teacher Unions at the Pre-Tertiary Education Level have called on the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education to inform the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana to suspend any further deliberation on the Pre – Tertiary Education Bill.
The Unions, which include the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT),National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) , Teachers and Educational Workers of Ghana (TEWU) and Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana (CCT) , have, thus, called on parliament to suspend further deliberations on the education bill.

The Unions made this revelation in a response to an invitation by the Ghana Education Service to the Unions to an offsite meeting on the Pre-Tertiary Education Bill curently before the Parliament of Ghana for Consideration.
The purpose of the meeting is to offer the Unions the opportunity to make relevant inputs into the Bill.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday,February 27,2020 at the City Escape located at Airport in Accra.
The Unions in a joint response letter ,dated February 19,2020. , indicated their acceptance of the invitation ,but requested parliament hold on with further deliberations on the bill in other to allow the Unions make much neccessary inputs.
