Who This Guide Is For
This guide is for qualified nurses and midwives who have had their National Service PIN codes released by the National Service Authority (NSA) for the 2026/2027 service year.
Only candidates who passed the March/April 2025 Minor Season Licensing Examinations and whose details were submitted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council are eligible.
Step 1: Visit the Official NSA Website
Open a web browser on your phone or computer and go to the official National Service Authority website:
Ensure you are using a reliable internet connection before proceeding.
Step 2: Retrieve Your PIN Code
On the homepage, locate the section for PIN Code Retrieval.
You will be required to enter your Student Identification Number and Date of Birth exactly as captured during your training.
Once validated, your PIN code and serial number will be displayed on the screen.
Step 3: Pay the Registration Fee
After retrieving your PIN code, proceed to make payment for enrolment.
The required registration fee is GHS 41.00.
Payment must be made via mobile money on any network using the instructions provided on the portal.
After successful payment, keep the confirmation message for reference.
Step 4: Log Into the Enrolment Portal
Return to the NSA website and click on Enrolment.
Log in using:
- Your PIN code
- Your serial number
This will grant you access to the online registration form.
Step 5: Complete the Online Registration Form
Carefully fill in all required personal and academic details.
Confirm your:
- Full name and date of birth
- Training institution
- Programme (Nursing or Midwifery)
- Contact information
Ensure all details are accurate before proceeding.
Step 6: Select Preferred Posting Institutions
You will be asked to choose preferred regions and institutions for your national service posting.
Make your selections carefully, as postings are largely based on availability and national needs.
Step 7: Review and Submit Your Application
Before final submission, review all the information you have entered.
Once satisfied, submit the application.
After submission, print or save the confirmation page as proof of successful registration.
Important Registration Deadline
The enrolment exercise began on January 19, 2026, and is scheduled to end on January 23, 2026.
Applicants are strongly advised not to wait until the final day to avoid technical challenges.
Legal Reminder
Under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), national service is mandatory for all eligible Ghanaian graduates.
Failure to register within the stipulated period may attract sanctions.
