EducationGhana| May 21| NUGS to partner with CITI TV on New Project to support Basic Schools Infrastructure:

The National Union of Ghana Students as part of its vision for the year has engaged the management of Citi Tv on its project that is intended to provide infrastructure support to some dilapidated schools in rural areas.

The Executives of the Union in a courtesy call on the General Manager of the TV station discussed the proposed project and further called on Citi TV to collaborate with them as the media brand for the project.

The NUGS President, Mr Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo in his presentation indicated that “it remains a central interest in our leadership to build a legacy project that sets the conversation for a spotlight on the poor state of infrastructure in some basic schools, especially in the North of the country.”
“Citi TV is a notable brand and has supported education in many ways, especially by making news of the essential matters to students, this is another call to serve Ghana” Mr Appiah Larbi added.

The Union’s President further added “the need for a strong media partner in this project cannot be overemphasized, imagine, we put our heads and hands together to raise the needed funds to build at least a six-unit classroom block for Bosnia Basic school in the Kassena Nankana West District where students learn in a mud-unroofed building, we want these issues to be at the centre of national discourse and we want to be the leaders in this bold step“

Mr Bernard Avle in his own remarks advised the Union leaders to build a vision that is remarkable. He further assured the Union leaders of his outfit’s readiness to support in various ways that help build Ghana.

It is expected that the discussions will firm up in the board room and produce some brilliant results in the coming weeks.
