Professor Anthony Owusu‑Ansah of KNUST’s Department of Land Economy has been named Acting Executive Secretary of Ghana’s Lands Commission, effective immediately, under constitutional and Lands Commission Act provisions.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has scored another national milestone with the appointment of Professor Anthony Owusu‑Ansah as Acting Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission, effective immediately.
A formal letter from the Secretary to the President, dated April 14, 2025, was delivered to Prof. Owusu-Ansah, requesting his acceptance of the role within seven days. His appointment aligns with the requirements set out in the Constitution and the Lands Commission Act, and now awaits constitutional advice from the commission itself and the Public Services Commission before being fully confirmed.
