Prof. Naail Mohammed Kamil of KNUST has been appointed Ghana’s Deputy High Commissioner to Malaysia. The former HOD of Human Resource and Organisational Development joins Ghana’s diplomatic corps in a new international role.


KNUST Lecturer Receives Diplomatic Appointment

Prof. Naail Mohammed Kamil, a senior lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and former Head of the Department of Human Resource and Organisational Development at the KNUST School of Business, has been named Ghana’s Deputy High Commissioner to Malaysia.  

 

His appointment places him among the latest academic figures joining Ghana’s diplomatic service. Prof. Kamil is widely known for his work in leadership development, organisational behaviour, and human resource management.


Profile of Prof. Naail Mohammed Kamil

Prof. Kamil has served KNUST in various academic and administrative roles, contributing to the School of Business through research, teaching, and departmental leadership. His academic work has focused on human capital development, institutional effectiveness, and contemporary management practices in Africa.  

 

His new position signals growing recognition of academia’s role in shaping Ghana’s global partnerships, especially in regions with strong economic and educational ties.


Ghana Strengthens Bilateral Relations with Malaysia

Malaysia remains a strategic partner for Ghana in areas including trade, education, technology, and capacity development. The appointment of Prof. Kamil is expected to enhance collaboration between the two countries while promoting opportunities for Ghanaian students, investors, and institutions.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration is expected to announce further diplomatic postings as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Ghana’s missions abroad.
