“Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) management issues an important notice to freshmen for the 2023–2024 academic year. The notice includes assistance for campus movement, activities, and dates for the first semester, as well as vital information on registration, accommodation, and transportation.”

 

Kumasi, Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) management has issued a crucial notice to all freshmen admitted for the 2023–2024 academic year. The notice provides essential information on campus movement, activities, and dates for the first semester.

As part of the university’s Safe Arrival Protocols, officials, security personnel, and police officers will be stationed at various points on the campus to assist students in finding their way around. The notice congratulates all freshmen on their admission to KNUST, emphasizing the university’s commitment to providing quality education.

Activities and Dates for the First Semester (2023/2024 Academic Year):

  1. Arrival – Saturday, January 6, 2024
  2. Online Course Registration: Wednesday, January 3 – Monday, February 5, 2024
  3. Biometric Registration: Saturday, January 6 – Monday, February 5, 2024
  4. Residential Orientation (Halls & Hostels): Sunday, January 7 – Friday, January 12, 2024
  5. Academic Orientation: College, Faculty, Department, Tuesday, January 9 – Friday, January 13, 2024
  6. Medical Examination for all categories of students: Thursday, January 4 – Friday, February 9, 2024
  7. Lectures Start – Monday, January 15, 2024
  8. Matriculation – Tuesday, February 6, 2024
  9. Matriculation (IDL) – Saturday, February 10, 2024

Vital Notice:

  • Students who fail to register within the stipulated period will be automatically deemed deferred.
  • Students must complete both Online Course and Biometric Registrations to be deemed duly registered KNUST students.
  • Students yet to secure accommodation can visit kosass.knust.edu.gh to book a room or seek assistance from the Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA).
  • Students/Parents without personal vehicles are advised to board only KNUST-embossed taxis at Tech-Junction.
  • Virtual Orientation for freshers can be viewed at orientation.knust.edu.gh/live.

The notice aims to ensure a smooth transition for freshers into the university environment, providing them with the necessary information and support for a successful academic year.
