JUST IN: WAEC introduces Guidelines for the Conduct of BECE 2019

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced some guidelines for the Conduct of 2019 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The examination council has indicated ,that the guidelines are part of its

measures to safeguard the conduct of this year’s BECE which comes off in June.

WAEC this revelations in a statement issued on May 27,2019.

WAEC said all administrators,supervisors and invigilators should adhere to the following guidelines;

Firstly,candidates are to be well searched before the enter or exit the examination hall.

Secondly,Candidates who report late for papers should not be allowed access.

WAEC indicated,that a candidate shall be considered to be late if the invigilator is done issuing papers for work to begin.

In addition,all papers are to start and end according to the stipulated WAEC Timetable.

Meanwhile WAEC further indicated hat invigilators who for any reasons have to start the papers late should alert the exams council in writing.

WAEC emphasized that the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited for supervisors,Invigilators or candidates..
