EducationGhana, November 2, Colleges: The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has postponed the reopening date for continuing students of the public colleges of education in Ghana
GTEC in a letter dated November 1, 2021, to the president of the Principal’s Conference (PRINCOF) indicated that the new reopening date for continuing students shall be early January 2022.

Purpose of Postponement
GTEC said the reason for the postponement of the reopening date for continuing students is to enable the calendar of the Colleges to align more closely with that of the five public Universitieswwwwworking with the Colleges on the delivery of the BN.ED Programme.
New Academic Calendar
GTEC indicated, that the Colleges should submit a revised calendar based on the plan of alternating the presence of different cohorts of students on campus for in-person teaching and learning.
Fresh Students
GTEC however indicated that the January 8, 2022 reopening date for First Year students remains unchanged.
