The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened the registration portal for the 2025 BECE for private candidates. Students seeking to improve their BECE grades can now register at unified.ghanawaec.org.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially opened the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Private Registration Portal. The registration process is designed for students who wish to improve their BECE grades by retaking one or more subjects.

How to Register for the 2025 BECE for Private Candidates

Eligible candidates can now visit the official WAEC registration portal at unified.ghanawaec.org to complete their registration.

Key Steps for Registration:

Visit the official WAEC BECE Private Candidate Portal – unified.ghanawaec.org
Create an account or log in with an existing one.
Fill out the registration form with accurate personal details.
Select the subjects you wish to retake.
Upload a passport-sized photograph and any other required documents.
Pay the required examination fees via the provided payment options.
Confirm and submit the registration form before the deadline.

Who is Eligible for the BECE Private Registration?

Candidates who previously sat for BECE and wish to improve their grades in one or more subjects.
Students who missed the previous year’s examination and want to obtain a BECE certificate.
Individuals seeking to meet the entry requirements for Senior High School (SHS) or other educational programs.

Why Register for the BECE as a Private Candidate?

✅ Opportunity to Improve BECE Grades – Candidates who did not achieve the required grades in their Core Subjects (English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies) can re-sit to meet the qualification for SHS, technical schools, or other tertiary institutions.
