The Minister of Education, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) has reminded teachers to consider the GH¢1200 Professional Development Allowances yet to be paid them by government when voting on December 7, 2020.
The Minister was speaking at the Launch of the VOLTA NPP Teachers Network, a group of Teachers at the Pre-Tertiary Education Level supporting the New Patriotic Party in the Volta Region.

The Launch was held at the Ho Technical University main auditorium on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
Speaking at the event, the Education Minister said, the Teachers should remember the NPP Government when voting on December 7, 2020.
He added, that by the time teachers shall receive their ballot papers to cast their votes on December 7, they shall remember their Professional Development Allowances.

“By the time you shall remove your hands from pour pocket and take your ballot paper, you shall remember your GHC1200” He said.
According to him, teachers shall not see Nana Akuffo Addo ‘n their ballot papers but can see GHC1200.
Licensure Exams
According to NAPO, the Licensure Examination was meant for only newly graduated teachers and not for in-service teachers.
He urged the teachers to ignore rumours relating to in-service teachers writing Licensure Exams in Ghana.
