Newly Trained Teachers currently undertaking their Compulsory National Service shall be absorbed and posted by the Ghana Education Service in September 2019.
The Newly Trained Teachers shall be posted to the Public Basic Schools across the country after the Completion of their Compulsory National Service.
The Minister for Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh made this known on authority at the 11th annual Congregation ceremony of the St. Monica’s College of Education, Mampong -Ashanti on Saturday,July 20,2019.
The Minister emphasized that all those who did National Service and all those who passed their Licensing exams will be accepted by the Ghana Education Service in September 2019 for posting.

”For the graduating class he stated on authority that all those who did National Service and all those who passed their Licensing exams will be accepted by the Ghana Education Service in September 2019 for posting.” He said.
Completion of NSS
Speaking with the leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), the Deputy Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) ,Mrs Gifty Oware confirmed that NSS postings for Current level 300 teacher trainees can only be done in January 2020.
The reason for this decision is to allow current newly trained teachers to complete their mandatory National Service in December this year.

Possibility of Postings into Classroom after 2019 NSS
Even though the Minister for Education shows optimism in his delivery on the posting of Newly Trained Teachers in September by the Ghana Education Service,the possibility could only be realized after December 2019.
This shall be the only time the Newly Trained Teachers can be done with their Compulsory National Service.
The Minister’s Statement also means that Newly Trained Teachers shall be posted into the classrooms after their Compulsory National Service in December 2019.
