The St. Monica’s College of Education Mampong -Ashanti has constructed a four-storey Lecture Hall block Using Internally Generated Funds of the College.
The three-storey Lecture Hall was commissioned by the Minister of Education ,Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh on Saturday,July 20,2019 at the 11th annual Congregation ceremony of the College.
The Three-storey Lecture Hall was commissioned in honour of the Principal of the College, Canon Mrs. Christina Sobotie.

Book and Research Allowance
The Principal of the College, Can. Mrs. Sobotie thanked the government and the Hon. Minister for approving the Book and Research Allowance for Colleges of Education and hoped for a speedy implementation.
Students enrollment
She enumerated on the significant increase in student enrollment ,with the college admitting 478 applicants to pursue the B.Ed. programme for the 2018/2019 academic year.
Challenges
Speaking at the Congregation,the Principal outline some challenges being faced by the College which was affecting academic work.
Her challenge was their 1500 seater multi-purpose auditorium (GETFund project) which started in 2012 but has been abandoned.
