Headmaster, teachers and pupils devote themselves to school building, call for support

EducationGhana| June 12| Headmaster, teachers and pupils devote themselves to a school building, call for support:

The headmaster of Attabuorso M/A basic school,a nearby community in Techiman, within the Bono East Region together with the teachers and the pupils are up in morale to build a three-unit classroom for studies after efforts to get support from relevant stakeholders not forthcoming.

According to the headmaster, Mr Takyi Paul, the poor community very far from Techiman puts the pupils at more disadvantage when it comes to facilities that will aid in learning, notably among them is the lack of adequate classrooms.

He indicated in an interview with the media that cashew trees were being used as classrooms and this does not encourage learning at all. When it rains, the children have to go home.

“Notwithstanding all these circumstances, the teachers and pupils seem to be resolute in their own way to put up a good performance in teaching and learning respectively, hence this effort” he added, pointing to the building.

The headmaster also acknowledged the efforts and mutual support from the Attabuorso community, one benevolent supporter Nana Kesse who had been with them in cash and all manner of help throughout their journey,

and some of the teachers with a technical background who also volunteered up during the building process and almost everybody whose contribution is leading to their dream being realized.

He thus called on government, NGOs and civil society organizations to come to their aid for the full realization of their dream.
