The Ghana Education Service (GES) announces the 2024 school selection process from August 28 to September 4, 2024. Parents are urged to be involved, with a text service available for confirming school choices.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that the school selection process for 2024 is set to begin on Wednesday, August 28, and will run until Wednesday, September 4, 2024. This critical exercise is designed to allow students, parents, and guardians to select preferred schools for the upcoming academic year.
Parents and guardians are urged to actively participate in this process to ensure their children are placed in their desired schools. The GES emphasizes the importance of this involvement, as it directly influences the smoothness of the placement process.
In addition to the selection process, the GES will provide an opportunity for candidates to confirm their school choices through a text message service before the final placements are made. Details regarding the specific short code for this service will be communicated shortly.
To ensure transparency and effectiveness, officers from the GES Headquarters will be monitoring the selection exercise across the country. This oversight is intended to facilitate a fair and efficient process for all involved.
The Acting Director of the Schools and Instructions Division, Prince C. Agyémang-Duah, on behalf of the Director-General of the GES, has called upon all Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, as well as Examination Officers and other stakeholders, to widely communicate this important exercise within their jurisdictions.
