Applications Now Open for Ghana’s Public Colleges of Education (2025/2026 Academic Year)

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced that applications are open for prospective students seeking admission into the 46 public Colleges of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year.

These institutions offer a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree, with certificates awarded by their affiliate public universities.

👩‍🏫 Interested applicants can now apply to become part of Ghana’s next generation of professional educators.

General Admission Requirements

The entry requirements vary based on applicants’ academic backgrounds:

1. WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants

WASSCE Candidates

  • Credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, including:

 

SSSCE Candidates

  • At least credit passes (A-D) in six subjects, following the same structure as WASSCE applicants.

2. GCE Advanced Level Applicants

✅ Candidates must have:

  • Passes in at least three subjects (one must be Grade D or better).
  • Credit passes in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including:
    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • A Science or Social Science subject.

3. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Applicants

✅ TVET applicants must hold:

📝 Application Process:

1️⃣ Purchase an e-voucher

  • Cost: GH₵350
  • Available at Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) or via Mobile Money (MTN Momo, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money).

 

2️⃣ Complete Online Application

 

3️⃣ Submit Your Application

  • Print a copy of the completed form.
  • Attach a passport-sized photograph.
  • Send it via EMS to the principal of your first-choice college.
