Applications Now Open for Ghana’s Public Colleges of Education (2025/2026 Academic Year)
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced that applications are open for prospective students seeking admission into the 46 public Colleges of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year.
These institutions offer a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree, with certificates awarded by their affiliate public universities.
👩🏫 Interested applicants can now apply to become part of Ghana’s next generation of professional educators.
General Admission Requirements
The entry requirements vary based on applicants’ academic backgrounds:
1. WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
- Credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, including:
- Three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies.
- Three relevant elective subjects.
✅ SSSCE Candidates
- At least credit passes (A-D) in six subjects, following the same structure as WASSCE applicants.

2. GCE Advanced Level Applicants
✅ Candidates must have:
- Passes in at least three subjects (one must be Grade D or better).
- Credit passes in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- A Science or Social Science subject.
3. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Applicants
✅ TVET applicants must hold:
- A Certificate II qualification in three relevant trade areas.
- OR a National Board for Professional and Technicians Examination (NABPTEX) qualification in a related field.
4. Special Entry Requirements for Persons with Disabilities
✅ Visually Impaired Applicants
- Special facilities available at:
- N.J. Ahmadiyya College of Education (Wa)
- Wesley College of Education (Kumasi)
- Presbyterian College of Education (Akropong)
✅ Hearing Impaired Applicants
- Study facilities available at Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong.

1️⃣ Purchase an e-voucher
- Cost: GH₵350
- Available at Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) or via Mobile Money (MTN Momo, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money).
2️⃣ Complete Online Application
- Visit: https://admission.coeportal.edu.gh
- Fill in all required details carefully.
3️⃣ Submit Your Application
- Print a copy of the completed form.
- Attach a passport-sized photograph.
- Send it via EMS to the principal of your first-choice college.
