Ghanaian teachers entering the public school system at the pre-tertiary level in 2024 can expect the following salaries and allowances based on their qualifications and levels:
Net Salaries
- Newly Employed Teacher
- Level: SS14H, Point 1
- Net Salary: GHC 2,801.76
- Newly Employed Teacher
- Level: SS16H, Point 1
- Net Salary: GHC 3,500.76
Additional Allowances
In addition to their base salary, newly employed teachers receive the following allowances:
- Professional Allowance:
- Amount: GHC 2,400 annually
- Purpose: Support professional development and teaching resources.
- Data Allowance:
- Amount: GHC 800 annually
- Purpose: To cover internet and digital resources for teaching activities.
