Seeded Schools Join the Fray as NSMQ 2025 Heats Up

The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ 2025) moves into its one-eighth stage, and excitement across the country has reached new heights. With the preliminary contests completed, Ghana’s most dominant and historic schools are now entering the stage where only precision, teamwork, and speed can secure advancement.Among the seeded powerhouses joining the competition are Mfantsipim School, St. Augustine’s College, PRESEC-Legon, Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College, Wesley Girls’ High School, St. Peter’s SHS, Accra Academy, Osei Tutu SHS, and Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS).These schools, known for their deep academic heritage and multiple NSMQ trophies, will face equally ambitious challengers who emerged from the intense preliminary rounds.

Balloting and Contest Breakdown

At the official balloting session, defending champions Mfantsipim School, along with St. Augustine’s College and Keta SHTS, were placed in Pot A. The trio, who were last year’s finalists, headline Contests 9, 18, and 27 respectively.Below is the full list of the 2025 NSMQ One-Eighth Fixtures:
