EducationGhana| January 11| CCP Curriculum Workshop: The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced Training Modalities, Feeding and Transportation Fees for JHS teachers who shall be taking part in the training.
The GES in a meeting on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, came out with the following reports:

Regional Level Training Date
Reporting date is Sunday, January 9, 2022. Workshop date Monday, January 10, 2022
District Level Training Date
Workshop days: Wednesday, January 12 to Friday, January 14, 2022

Training Modalities for Regional Level
Each region is presenting one teacher each for the 12 subjects but for English and Maths one additional; each making 14 teachers from each district.
3,640 Master Trainers will be given refresher training for a day. This will happen at the regional level across the country on Monday, 10th January 2022.
Those to be selected for the training should be those who have already been trained. Earlier, 24 trainers were trained but now, only 14 out of these are to be selected for the current training.
A suggestion was made for teachers from special schools to be given special attention. Director-General stated that it would be considered.
Training Modalities for District Level
The District Training will be for 3 days (January 12 to 14) for the teachers and they will be provided with water, breakfast, lunch and TNT.
The amount for TNT is GH¢20, Breakfast is GH¢10. TNT and breakfast money to be given to the teachers in cash.
NB: Regional Directors are to ensure that a good meal is gotten out of the amount for lunch so that teachers do not complain.

Facilitators at the District level are to receive a facilitation fee of GH¢100 a day for the 3 days.
For TNT for facilitators, GH¢30 a day for 3 days. Snack lunch and water is GH¢25 a day.
….Note that monies for the organization of these workshops are tax-free.
Funds and Logistics
Fund for logistics, eg. Manila Cards, pencils, pen, etc. for the cluster or school-based and regional training will be made available. The amount per region will be dependent on how many districts there are in each region.
