UPSA Commissions Ultra-Modern Vice-Chancellor’s Residence

 

UPSA has commissioned an ultra-modern Vice-Chancellor’s residence featuring a five-bedroom facility with guest and meeting spaces to support official and ceremonial functions.


The UPSA Vice-Chancellor’s residence has been officially commissioned, marking a significant milestone in the University of Professional Studies, Accra’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its administrative infrastructure.

The ultra-modern five-bedroom facility, located a few miles from the main UPSA campus, is designed to serve as the official residence of the Vice-Chancellor while providing a secure and functional environment for high-level university engagements.

UPSA Vice-Chancellor’s Residence and Its Facilities

Beyond residential use, the UPSA Vice-Chancellor’s residence includes adjoining guest accommodation and meeting facilities intended to host official visitors, dignitaries, and university partners. These additions are expected to enhance the university’s administrative efficiency and ceremonial operations.

University officials say the facility reflects UPSA’s broader vision of aligning institutional governance with modern standards befitting a leading professional university.

Vice-Chancellor Commends Project Leadership

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Friday, 9 January 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of the project.

He described the residence as a strategic investment that supports the dignity and functional demands of the Vice-Chancellor’s office, while also reinforcing the university’s institutional image.

Recognition of Past Leadership

Professor Mawutor used the occasion to commend the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abednego Okoe Amartey, for his pivotal role in initiating the project.

According to him, the completion of the residence reflects continuity in leadership and a commitment to long-term institutional development at UPSA.
