EducationGhana| December 22| Teacher Trainees Allowamce: The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has assured Teacher Trainees of possible payment of their 6-month allowance arrears before the beginning of the 2021/22 Academic year in January 2022.

The leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) in a statement issued on December 21, 2021, indicated that the Director in charge of allowance at GTEC
indicated that their outfit shall fast track their processes to make payments before Colleges resume and if possible before the end of December 2021.

Meeting with Stakeholders
TTAG leadership said on Friday, December 17, 2021, they paid a courtesy visit to the officials of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).
According to the TTAG, the visit to SLTF was after prior information on the release of funds from the Ministry of Finance to GTEC was done.
