NSMQ 2025: PRESEC Legon Dominates with 55 Points, Wins Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award

 

Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC Legon) recorded the highest score of the day — 55 points — in the 2025 NSMQ One-Eighth stage, earning a ₵2,000 Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award and a ₵1,200 GOIL Riddle Bonanza prize.


PRESEC Leads with Precision at Auditorium 900

The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2025 continued at Auditorium 900 with a brilliant performance from Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon, who triumphed over Oti Boateng SHS and T.I. AMASS, Kumasi, to qualify for the quarterfinals.

PRESEC ended the contest with 55 points, the highest score of the day, earning them the prestigious @Pepsodent_Ghana Highest Scorer Award worth ₵2,000.

Their remarkable accuracy and teamwork also secured victory in the @GOIL_Official Riddle Bonanza, where they answered three out of four riddles correctly, winning an additional ₵1,200.


Round-by-Round Summary

The six-time champions opened the contest strongly, scoring 20 points in Round One. T.I. AMASS, Kumasi, followed closely with 15 points, while Oti Boateng SHS posted 11 points.

In the @TrusturAI Speed Race (Round Two), PRESEC extended their lead to 25 points, showing clear dominance and coordination. T.I. AMASS improved slightly to 20 points, while Oti Boateng trailed with 14 points.

The Problem of the Day, sponsored by @Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, tested analytical thinking and teamwork. PRESEC scored 8 out of 10, Oti Boateng SHS managed 5, and T.I. AMASS earned 1 point.

By Round Four, PRESEC had built a solid lead with 46 points, while Oti Boateng and T.I. AMASS were nearly neck-and-neck at 32 and 34 points, respectively.

The final GOIL PLC Riddle Bonanza sealed PRESEC’s win, pushing them to 55 points — a commanding finish that confirmed their advancement to the quarterfinals of NSMQ 2025.
