Aburi Girls’ SHS showcased their brilliance in the fourth contest of Day Two of the NSMQ 2025 preliminary stage, defeating St. Mary’s Seminary SHS, Lolobi, and Dormaa SHS in a commanding performance at the CNC Auditorium, UCC.

The final contest of Day Two at the CNC Auditorium of the University of Cape Coast witnessed Aburi Girls’ Senior High School (ABUGISS) outclassing their challengers—St. Mary’s Seminary SHS, Lolobi, and Dormaa SHS—to progress confidently to the one-eighth stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2025.

The contest, held on October 21, 2025, marked a thrilling end to the day’s preliminary battles, as the competing schools brought energy and intellect to the stage.


Round-by-Round Highlights

Round One began with Aburi Girls establishing early dominance, scoring 16 points, while St. Mary’s Sem. SHS, Lolobi, and Dormaa SHS followed with 8 and 9 points, respectively.

In Round Two, sponsored by @TrusturAI, ABUGISS extended their lead to 26 points, with Dormaa SHS at 9 points and St. Mary’s Sem. SHS, Lolobi, close behind at 8 points.

The Problem of the Day, proudly sponsored by @PruLifeGh, proved a challenge for all contestants. Aburi Girls scored 6 out of 10, while Dormaa SHS and St. Mary’s Sem. SHS, Lolobi, managed 2 each.

By Round Four, Aburi Girls’ SHS had sealed their dominance with 48 points, leaving St. Mary’s Sem. SHS, Lolobi, at 20 points, and Dormaa SHS at 12 points.
