The 31st edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) launched into action on Monday, October 14, 2024, with thrilling contests at the University of Cape Coast.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement as 157 schools vied for a chance to progress to the prestigious one-eighth stage of the competition. Contestants showed exceptional skills in Science and Mathematics, showcasing the depth of academic talent across Ghana. Here’s a detailed look at the Day 1 preliminary results:
Auditorium 900
- Contest 1:
Mfantsiman SHS took the lead with an impressive 44 points, narrowly surpassing West Africa SHS, who secured 42 points, and Zion College with 40 points. Mfantsiman SHS’s determination and resilience proved decisive in this closely contested match. Their victory sends a strong message of readiness for the subsequent rounds.
- Contest 2:

- Contest 3:
