splendid performance by Kumasi-based T.I Ahmadiyya SHS put off the strokes of Kalpohin SHS and St. Margaret Mary SHS in the ongoing National Science and Maths Quiz.
T.I Amass amassed as much as 62 points against 32 garnered by their two other challengers, to gain their group’s sole entry into the quarterfinals of the completion on Saturday.
St. Margaret Mary thus joins the long list of seeded schools that have failed to live up to the expectation in this year’s competition, which is taking place at the R.S Amegashie Auditorium at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
So far 10 seeded schools have failed to reach the quarterfinal stage.
By implication, they would have to go through the regional contests to secure a pass to next year’s contest.
These are KSTS, Archbishop Potter Girls, Kumasi SHTS and Holy Child SHS. Others are New Juabeng SHS, Ghana National College and Islamic SHS. The rest are St. Thomas Aquinas, Aburi Girls and St Margaret Mary SHS.
