The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) has announced date to organize a meeting for stakeholders, proprietors, Headteachers and Administrators .
The meeting which is scheduled for April 22, 2021 is meant to discuss private school teachers licensing and other important issues concerning the private pre-tertiary education.
GNACOPS is organizing the meeting for GA East and GA West Private Schools in the Greater Accra Region.

The meeting follows last year’s decision by the National Teaching Council (NTC) to stop all unlicensed private school teachers from teaching.
Executive Secretary of NTC, Addai Poku in an interview monitored said his outfit is collaborating with Heads of private schools to remove all unqualified private school teachers from their payroll.
“So it will soon be impossible for private schools to employ teachers who have not written the compulsory licensure exams”, Christian Poku stated.
According to the private schools’ council, the stakeholders meeting will take place at Kwabenya Community Secondary School, at 9:00 am on April 22.
Among other topics to be discussed at the meeting are the distribution of laptops to private school teachers, school leadership programme, Education Regulatory Bodies Act, SBC/CCP training, Private school teachers licensing.
