 KNUST lecturer Prof. Samuel Yaw Akomea has been ranked the best professor globally in the 2025–2 X-Culture International Collaboration Project, beating 197 peers from 53 countries.

Global Recognition for a Ghanaian Academic

Ghana’s higher education sector has earned major international recognition as Professor Samuel Yaw Akomea (PhD) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has been named Best Professor in the 2025–2 round of the X-Culture International Collaboration Project.The award places Prof. Akomea at the very top of a global academic field, ranking first among 198 professors worldwide who supervised student teams during the semester.
