KNUST Rusticates, Suspends and Dismissed 4 Students over Misconduct

EducationGhana, August 26, KNUST: The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has rusticated, suspended and dismissed four (4) of its students over misconduct.

The University in a statement issued on August 25, 2021, indicated disciplinary actions against its students for the month of August 2021.

The Students and Offences

The four students include; Mr Rexford Joseph Bonney, who was said to have been involved in the unauthorised installation of  ‘Odikro’ at Unity Hall has been rusticated for two (2) Academic years. that is 2021/22 and 2022/23 academic years respectively.

The second Student, Mr Baffour Owusu Konadu has been rusticated for one (1) academic year, that is 2021/22 for his gross misconduct and bringing the name of the University into disrepute.

The third student, Mr Patrict Dwamena Sekyere has been suspended indefinitely for extortion of monies from students with the promise of securing them accommodation at GUSS and SRC Hostels.

The fourth student, Mr Dwumah Ramsey Ohene -Tutu has been dismissed for stealing two (2) laptops from the University Library on different occasions.
