The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has entered into a partnership agreement with Aurelia Holding AG Germany, to start a project dubbed ‘KNUST Centre for Capacity Development in Automobile and Manufacturing’ (CECADAM).
The project concept, bilaterally developed by teams from KNUST and Aurelia Holding AG Germany, embraces almost all aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with strong emphasis on SDG 17 – Partnership for Development.

The CECADAM project falls in line with the Vice-Chancellor’s vision of ‘One-Department-One-Start-Up (1D-1S)’, and the Government of Ghana’s, ‘One- District-One-Factory (1D-1F)’ policies respectively and seeks to leverage strong Academia-Industry partnerships to develop communities and society.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, in her address expressed the interest and support of her administration to the CECADAM project. She thanked Aurelia Holding AG Germany for the keen interest shown in the CECADAM project and the opportunity to take North-South cooperation to another level of academia-industry partnership in co-creation of knowledge, innovations and community impact.
