JUST IN: Private Schools charged GHC500 for Training on New Curriculum

Private School teachers across the country are expected to go through training on the New Curriculum which begins from 12th August to 14th September 2019.

Every school is supposed to pay a Training Fee of Ghc500  that covers a Maximum of 11 staff including head.

Reports gathered by EducationGhana  indicate that all participants in the training shall be accredited.

A notice sent to all Private schools indicated the urgency of the training which precede the opening of the new academic year in September.

Collection of Data Base

Reports suggest, the training exercise is being used to build a Database of Private Schools across the country to be submitted to the Ministry of Education.

”Any Private school that doesn’t join this training exercise will not be captured in this Important Database.” the notice said.

Category of Teachers

Moreover, every school is expected to bring their staff from KG to Primary 6, Language teachers and Supervisor of academics

.”Where a school does subject teaching from Upper Primary, all teachers who teach at that level must be trained as well.” the notice emphasized.

Training Registration

Schools are expected to register their teachers for the training is done online at www.privateschoolsgh.com

The training is expected to last for  4 Days for each trainee starting from 8:00am – 5pm each Day.

Feeding

The further emphasized,feeding was not included in the GHC500 registration  fee.

”Thus feeding arrangements have been made by the Regional Executives and would be paid separately at Ghc65 per head for the 4 days.” It said.

Payment

”All Payments should be made to the Regional Organizing Office through designated accounts, before the training date.Payment would be communicated soonest.” The notice said.

Caution

”No Private School is expected to join any training being organized by the GES office, by their Trainers for their public teachers or any other entity apart from this very set up.*
