The NATIONAL Teaching Council (NTC) has denied reports that it is organizing regional Licensure examination for newly trained teachers.
According to the NTC, there has been social media publications which suggest that is outfit is organizing a licensure exam for newly trained teachers who passed their initial licensure examination.
The false reports according to the NTC, suggest that the examination shall be taken at their respective regions where they shall be posted to begin teaching.
The NTC denied these false publications in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Dennis Osei-Owusu on May 2,2019.
The NTC indicated that, last month, it had a nationwide induction for all newly qualified teachers.
The induction training according to the NTC does not include any discussion on a supposed regional Licensure Examination.
The NTC emphasized, that all inducted teachers will get their provisional licence and will be required to fulfil all requirements before he service periods elapses so they can obtain their full license.
Meanwhile, the Council indicated that Regional NTC/GTLE was not part of the requirements.
