A Menu has been released by caterers of the Ghana School Feeding Program to be used as a guideline for the cooking and distribution of food to Candidates of the forthcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and their Teachers.
According to the Menu, Egg must be provided with all meals being provided.
All 584,000 final year Junior High School (JHS) students across the country are to receive one hot meal each day.
The President announced this while addressing the nation in a television broadcast on Sunday, August 16, 2020.

According to the President, the decision stems from complaints from students about going hungry in an attempt to fully comply with COVID-19 preventive protocols.
