JUST IN: GES releases GHc7.6million for Curriculum Training Participants

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released GHC7.6 million for the settlement of monies owed participants of the just ended training on the New Standard Based Curriculum.

In a statement issued on Friday,August 23,2019 ,the GES said it has disbursed a further GHC50 per person to participants of the just ended curriculum training programme in respect of their travel costs.

Furthermore,the GES said the  money has been released to the Districts via the Regional Offices.

”This payment is in full and final settlement regarding the matter of payments to participants.” The GES said.

Participants  have been directed to liaise with their District Directors from Monday 26th August 2019 to ensure their monies are paid to them.

The Training

Week two of the training of KG to P6 teachers ended today.

Management of the GES said it was impressed with the quality of training given to the teachers

and it is expected that the new Standards Based Curriculum will be implemented effectively and efficiently when we begin the roll out in September 2019.

152,000 teachers converged at 996 centres across the country to be trained.
