Holiday for Pupils as Public Basic School Teachers observe Continuous Professional Development Day

Teachers at the Public Basic Schools are observing a Continuous Professional Development Day (CPDD) today across the Country.

The CPDD is a day set aside by the Ghana Education Service,(,GES) to help teachers discuss issues pertaining to the profession.

The date for this year’s edition of the CPDD which was initially schedule for 20th February 2020 was rescheduled for the 27th February,2020.

The reason for the change of date according to the Ghana Education Service,was to allow teachers take part in the maiden promotion aptitude test.

About the CPDD

THE CPDD is part of the New Standard Based Curriculum for KG to Bs 6.teachers ,meant to equip them with new skills and knowledge for the progress of their work.

It is observed once every term of which the pupils are not allowed to come to school on such days.
