Ghana International School closed down over Coronavirus Scare

The Ghana International School in Accra has closed down over Coronavirus (COVID-19) Scare.

According to a statement issued by the school, it has been closed down for two weeks starting Friday, March 13, 2020.

The students are expected to resume on the 27th of March,2020.

According to the school, the decision to close down the school was in line with its board policies on Emergencies.

“After consultation with the GIS Board of Directors I would like to announce that the Ghana International School will CLOSE at the end of the School Day today, 13th March 2020 at 3:30 pm for the next two weeks till 27th March 2020.”

“This early closure is in line with Board Policy on Emergencies.” It said.

GIS further indicated detailed information regarding the closure and information regarding their  Virtual Learning Environment has been communicated to the parents.

“We look forward to resuming school on Tuesday 14th April 2020 after the Easter Break.”

“We wish you all a safe and healthy season!” The statement concluded.
