The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) following the forthcoming conduct of the 2021 promotion test for the staff of the Service has outlined some promotion test guidelines for prospective candidates.
The Education Service in a statement shared to Educationweb.com.gh said the 2021 GES promotion test will commence from 25th-26th February 2021.
GES 2021 promotion test guidelines
- Candidates are to report to their centres at 7arn to be processed for the test
- Assistant Director II candidates will write their tests on the 25th of February 2021 at 9 am -11 am at their various centres.
- Principal Superintendents, Assistant Director l and Deputy-Directors will write their tests on the 26th of February 2021 at ham – Slam at their various centres.
- All candidates applying for the various ranks (Principal Superintendent, Assistant Director II, Assistant Director I and Deputy Director) using the promotion letters without the Master’s Certificates should have the notional date on or before 2015.

- Candidates who applied with the Masters and POD should have obtained the certificate on or before 2017 but not before the last promotion.
- Candidates without proof of original promotion letter and a National Identification Card will not be allowed to write the test.
- All candidates who used a Master’s Degree to apply should come along with the original certificate. Certified copies may not be accepted
- Persons without index numbers will not be allowed to write the test, however, they will be expected to provide their details for verification and a supplementary test organized for them at a later date.
