Dr Adutwum needs no vetting to be Minister for Education - Educationist

An Educationist and Political Commentator, Ampofo Acheampong has said that there was no need vetting Dr Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum.

Acheampong made this revelation in an Interview on THE FORUM Sociopolitical and Current Affairs show hosted by Ellis Ferdinand on Saturday, 13/02/2021.

Acheampong Ampofo said, to him, Dr Adutwum deserved no vetting based on his past records as a deputy Minister for Education.

He attributed the Minister’s records in the Education sector as deputy minister from 2017 to 2020.

NAPO’s Temperament

The Educationist added, that the Minister of Energy, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh’s posture at the vetting was unfortunate.

He indicated, the former Education Minister must work on his relationship with people in relation to the control of his temperament.

He argued that Ghana as a country belongs to everybody and should not be seen as an individual property.

In-camera Vetting 

He argued that it was comparatively advantageous having the vetting for Ministers designate for Security in camera.

He said it was necessary to protect Ghana’s security issues out of public view.
