The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said that teachers at the Basic Schools should employ the use of Resource packs for a successful implementation of the Standard-based curriculum in schools.
The GES in a meeting with the leadership of the Conference of Heads of Basic Schools (COHBS) on January 18, 20201 indicated, that the resource packs being given to the teachers was a major reference material for the implementation of the New Curriculum.
Research
The GES further indicated that teachers should research on the necessary strands and sub-strands to be taught in schools.

Textbooks
The GES said teachers should use the resource packs and prepare their lessons and should not depend on textbooks.
Though most teachers were in high expectation of the coming of textbooks for the new academic year, the GESsaid that should not be the case.
Religious Bodies
The GES said School managers should contact facilities like the churches, mosques etc to allow them to send pupils into them for teaching and learning.

Food Vendors
Food vendors on the campuses if allowed to sell according to the GES, should observe all health protocols and even present health certificates.
Printing of Exams
The GES said the Printing of Exam questions by the Metropolitan/Municipals and District Education Officers should be upheld until further notice.
