Adisadel College (ADISCO) has shut up its noisy neighbours, St Augustines College (AUGUSCO), Mfantsipim School and Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS to win the 2023 Regional championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz(NSMQ) Competition.
ADISCO has won the trophy back-to-back to become the third school to have won their trophy back-to-back after PRESEC, LEGON and St James Seminary SHS all within the 2023 regional championships.
The competition started with Mfantsipim School having a positive start with 18 points, St. Augustine’s College with an enviable 20 points, and a very disappointing performance by Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS with 16 points and Adisadel College with a disgraceful 09 points.
ADISCO quickly changed their strategy in the second round with a majestic movent that earned them 18 points to have a good standing compared to Mfantsipim School’s 24 points, St. Augustine’s College’s 18 points and Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS’s 16 points.
At the end of ROUND 4 Mfantsipim School had 37points whilst St. Augustine’s College had 31 points, Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS had 26 points Adisadel College carried the day with 43
The victory was also a major boost for the Adisadel College community, who were out in full force to support their team. The atmosphere in the auditorium was electric, and the crowd was cheering wildly for Adisadel College throughout the contest.
The victory is a major achievement for Adisadel College, and it is a sign that they are one of the top science and math schools in Ghana. They will be hoping to continue their momentum in the national finals, and they will be a tough team to beat.
