The Governing Council of the College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following Tutorship / Lecturer and Non-Teaching Staff positions at the College.

The Position/Job Description

The College Tutor is a lecturer in the College whose responsibility is to teach and train students preparing them towards acquiring Bachelor of Science in Education (B.Ed.).

Appointment to the position of a Tutor shall be for a term of five (5) years and may be renewed upon satisfactory performance.

A Tutor’s appointment may be renewed up to a maximum of three (3) terms that is, a total of fifteen (15) years upon which the appointment may be terminated unless the applicant qualifies for promotion to Senior Tutor position.

Duties and Responsibilities Includes:

Teaching
Setting and Marking of assignments and examination questions
Invigilation of examination
Supervision of student’s projects
Research and publication
Assisting in the administration of the department
Supervision of students’ internship
Extension work/service to the College and the Nation.

Any other related duties assigned by the Principal or his/her representative.

The Person/Qualification

The Candidate must:
Hold a good first degree and Masters’ of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in a relevant subject area.

Both degrees must be in the same subject area. A PhD is an added advantage.
Proven leadership skills and a team player.

NON – TEACHING STAFF:

Kitchen Staff:
The Position – Male and Female Cooks (2)

Job Descriptions
The cook will assist the matron by cooking of food, pantry services, baking of bread for the students.

General kitchen Services

The Person / Qualification
The Candidate must:

Be a literate with at least JHS / Secondary School Certificate

Be a young and energetic male or female not above the age of 30 years by December, 2020.

Be ready to abide by all the rules associated with the work of the College kitchen.

Have no record of theft or pilfering.
Report to the Domestic Bursar (Matron)

Labourers
The Position – Males (2)

Job Descriptions
Weeding, Clearing of the drainage system and trimming hedges
General Compound work

The Person / Qualification:
The Candidate must:

Be a literate with at least a JHS / Secondary School Certificate

Be a young, energetic male not above the age of 25 years by December, 2020.

Have ability to weed manually with cutlass
Have good character and high sense of responsibility and personal integrity.

Be humble, hardworking, respectful, good communication and human relation skill.

Janitorial Staff (Cleaners) (1)
The Position – Male and Female (1)

Job Descriptions
Sweeping, cleaning, mobbing, clearing of chocked gutters of all required areas of the College

General janitorial services
The Person /Qualification
The Candidate Must:

Be a literate with at least a JHS / Secondary School Certificate

Be a young, energetic male or female not above the age of 30 years by December, 2020.

Have good character and high sense of responsibility and personal integrity.
Be humble, hardworking, respectful, good communication and human relation skill.

Security men.
The Position – Males (2)

Job Description
Must watch the campus against intruders, theft, cases on campus both day and night
Question suspicious characters, intruders and draw the attention of the Chief security to any potential dangers

General Security work

The Person /Qualification
The Candidate must:

Be a literate with at least a JHS / Secondary School Certificate

Have experience in security work
Be a young, energetic male not above the age of 25 years by December, 2020.

Have no records of criminal case, in the area of theft, armed robbery or any kind of criminal case.

Be ready to be trained in a modern techniques and strategies of security work.
