Teacher Trainees at the Public Colleges of Education shall receive their allowances in June, the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has revealed.
The Association in a statement issued on June 18, 2020, that students who do not receive their allowances during their first semester shall be paid their Second Semester Allowances with arrears.

A delegation led by the President, Mr. Augustine Appiah on June 15 and 16, engaged stakeholders on issues of interest to teacher trainees of which the disbursement of allowances became a major matter of concern.
According to reports, some 6,107 students were yet to be paid their first-semester allowance.

The leadership of TTAG called on all Presidents of the respective Student Representative Councils (SRCs) to engage their College allowance Coordinators to ensure that correct details of the affected trainees are submitted on time for payment.
