Monday’s torrential rains left some parts of the University of Ghana flooded with some major connecting streets submerged.
According to reports, areas around the Political Science and Psychology Departments, including the N-Block has been colonized by the rains after the downpour.
Accessibility to areas around Mensah Sarbah Hall and the Night market has also been heavily affected by the downpour rendering it inaccessible to patrons.
This has been largely attributed to the non-existent of proper maintenance of drainage systems around the affected areas.
The ordeal left many stranded and brought academic work to a temporary halt.
Some other parts around the University was not also left out as areas like the stretch of N-2 road between the University and Okponglo were also affected by the rains.
Earlier in May, residents of the Hilla Limann Hall were inconvenienced when rains invaded their residence.
The Mensah Sarbah Hall also suffered a similar catastrophe.
