The 2022 WASSCE will enter its 5th week starting 5th September and candidates will sit for Social Studies and English Language on 5th and 8th September respectively.

The Council indicated in the report that they have taken notice that some inappropriate conduct such as the restriction of WAEC officers from entering examination centres for monitoring,

issues of impersonation of some candidates, smuggling of mobile phones into examination halls by students and syndicate cheating among others have emerged from exam centres.

WAEC is working closely with the Ghana Education Service, the National Intelligence Bureau and other security operatives to check infringements of the rules and regulations governing the ongoing examination.

Some hot spots have been identified and monitoring of these centres has been intensified. The Council is by this means issuing words of caution to schools involved in such activities to desist from these practices.
