EducationGhana| September 3| Ghanaian Mathematics Teacher Fred Yaw Gakpo inspires many with his Online Lessons
Fred Yaw Gakpo is a professional teacher who has over the years dedicated his life to using his personal and career experience to help his students enrich their learning, especially in the area of STEM education with a focus on Mathematics.
Fred believes the fast pace of changes happening in the 21st century demands new approaches to teaching and learning and has, therefore, continues to develop his professional and pedagogical skills to ensure he is abreast with the latest approaches to teaching and learning.
As such, he has been a participant and at times a facilitator at both local and international education webinars.
This has led to his skill development in Wakelet, Flipgrid, Kahoot, Kami and Microsoft Team.
He believes education technology has the edge to increase students’ learning, hence, has effectively integrated technology into his teaching processes. He is a 21stdigiskillz Ambassador and MIE Educator.
Currently, he teaches Mathematics in a Ghanaian Senior High School and on YouTube under the handle, Taxonomy online mathematics.
