UG begins risk assessment for students and staff on COVID-19

The University of Ghana (UG) has begun to assess the risk of students and staff members on its campuses on the novel Coronavirus.

On Friday, March 13, 2020, the University released forms on its website to do preliminary assessments on students and staff on the pandemic.

The forms will allow the management to make informed decisions on how to tackle a possible outbreak.

The form also focuses on the travel record of members of the university particularly those who have travelled outside of the country within the last few weeks.

Students are being entreated to fill out the forms to allow the management of adequately prepare to deal with any incidence of the pandemic.

In the interim, the University has allocated three (3) bungalows for use in the event any case is recorded on the University campus.

The bungalows will be used to quarantine staff and students alike who show signs of the novel virus.

The Univerity has also begun a vicious sensitization of students on the pandemic.
