UG Promises Swift Action on Credential Uploads for GTLE 2025

The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has taken proactive steps to address mounting concerns among newly trained teachers regarding delays in uploading their academic credentials onto the National Teaching Council (NTC) portal for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).

On Wednesday, July 3, 2025, the TTAG national leadership, led by President H.E. Nanija Divine and National Coordinator Lala Victor, held a strategic meeting with the University of Ghana’s Department of Teacher Education.

University’s Response to Credential Upload Delay

Dr. A.D.J. Boateng, the University’s Coordinator of Teacher Education, attributed the delay to late course registration by students at the college level, which has had a cascading effect on processing academic data for NTC use.

“We are working diligently to complete the uploads before the registration deadline. Some colleges will see their details uploaded earlier,” Dr. Boateng assured.

This comes amid anxiety among newly trained teachers as the GTLE registration portal nears closure. TTAG expressed gratitude for the University’s transparency and commitment to resolving the issue promptly.

 TTAG’s Continued Advocacy for Trainees

TTAG emphasized that the welfare of its members remains paramount, and reiterated its dedication to engaging stakeholders such as the University of Ghana, GES, and the NTC to protect the interests of teacher trainees nationwide.

 What Affected Trainees Should Do

If you are a newly trained teacher and your credentials have not yet appeared on the NTC portal, TTAG advises you to:

  • Remain in contact with your college’s academic affairs office
  • Monitor TTAG and NTC updates regularly
  • Avoid panic registration attempts; the portal will be updated in batches
  • Use TTAG’s helplines or your local SRC for support
