Information gathered by the news desk of the Voice of Ave-Dakpa, a nongovernmental organization located at Akatsi North District capital in the Volta Region indicates that on Thursday 2nd March 2023 at exactly 8:45 pm, a teacher on duty at Ave Senior High School called Mr. Innocent Agblorti found a section of students who believed to be of the opposite sex was under a tree in darkness during prep hours.
He drew closer to inquire what they were doing there at that time of the night and instructed them to kindly get back to their various classrooms as prep is almost over otherwise they will be punished.

Immediately, one of the students behind him quickly hit him with a stone from behind.
He collapsed in a pool of blood and was rushed to the nearest health facility for treatment but unfortunately, medical officials claimed it was beyond their control, hence, he was referred to St Anthony’s Hospital at Dzodze in Ketu North Municipality.
The school authorities are yet to take action against the perpetrators.
As a result of this, teachers are currently seeking immediate transfers from Ghana Education Service out of Ave Senior High School at Ave Dakpa.
The leadership of Voice of Ave-Dakpa will be most grateful if the law enforcement agencies, member of Parliament for Akatsi North Constituency, Hon. Peter Nortsu Kotoe, DCE Simon Peter Ofosu, and our traditional authorities can please conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, and dealt with the perpetrators as soon as possible else the school will lose all the teachers to other districts.
