Salary Arrears,End to Victimization, Textbooks,Protective gears among top priorities of teachers as NAPO addresses the Nation today

Ghanaian teachers are  in high anticipation as the Minister of Education ,Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) briefs the media on COVID-19 today.

The Minister ,who was expected to meet the media last sunday, was postponed to today,Tuesday, March 24,2020 .

The media briefing is expected to come off at the Ministry of Information’s Conference Hall at 10am prompt.

Speaking to sections of teachers after the announcement by EducationGhana earlier, some of the teachers said they were expecting a positive response with regards to their salary arrears.

Others said they anticipate a decision by the minister to supposedly end his victimization of the employees of the Ghana Education Service.

Some teachers also said they expect hearing something pertaining to textbooks on the New Standard-Bsed Curriculum,while others spoke about a protective gear for teachers should the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus persists.

Some teachers also argued that the best person to speak at this time was the Health Minister in collaboration with the Education Minister should the need be.
