EducationGhana, November 15, Saboba Boat capsize Top 7 findings you need to know about the death of over 7 students.
According to information from the police in Saboba, the victims were returning from their head teacher’s farm when the incident happened.
A team made up of the Regional Director, Chairman of District Directors in the Northern Region and the Regional Public Relations Officer visited Saboba a day after the incident.
The team visited the District Education Office, Police Commander, the chief of Saboba and families affected as well as taking part in the burial process.

Below are some findings:
- The Head Teacher – Mr Chingya Emmanuel took 31 JHS 1 & 2 students to his rice farm
Ages of students: 17-21 year’s
There was No BECE candidate
9 deaths. 7 bodies were retrieved on Friday and 2 on Saturday. All have been buried in their homes and community.
The Head Teacher reported himself to the police and will be arranged before the court, today, Monday, November 15, 2021
A report is prepared to be submitted to the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service.
