EducationGhana | November 22 | Teachers’ Laptop: Two Teacher Unions, Innovative Teachers and the All Teachers Alliance Ghana (ATAG) have indicated that it was the responsibility of the employer, that’s the Ghana Education Service (GES) to provide the teachers with a laptop as working tools.
The Teacher Unions in a statement on November 15, 2021, indicated that they opposed to the 30% and the 70% cost-sharing idea of paying for the laptop because it is the responsibility of the employer to provide the tools needed by teachers to work.
”We are vehemently opposed to the 30% and the 70% cost-sharing idea of paying for the laptop because it is the responsibility of the employer to provide the tools needed by teachers to work.” They said.
”It has become obvious that the Ministry of Education will continuously insult teachers with laptops of suspicious quality which break down within a short time resulting in a huge financial loss to the state.” They indicated.
