They, therefore, gave the University the license to run the Access Program. This will augment the regular and top-up options the University currently runs.

Commenting on the development, the Head of Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the University, Dr Abigail Kyei expressed gratification for the achievement. ‘We have positioned ourselves to be the nursing school of choice in Africa and this new addition to our portfolio is very gratifying’.

Dr Kyei expressed confidence that the department has the capacity to train nurses who distinguish themselves everywhere they go. ‘This accreditation has given us the opportunity to admit and mould nurses who started at the certificate level to become models of the profession’… she added.
